When Danny LaRusso won his fight at the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament in The Karate Kid, we begged for more. Ignoring the recent remake of Ralph Maccio's finest theatrical hour, we are really excited to learn that YouTube Red is making a brand new series - entitled Cobra Kai - featuring Macchio's character Danny and his old rival Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka).

It's been 30 years (there's a lot of 30th anniversaries it seems right now) since the Mr. Miyagi and Danny combined the ways of inner peace and karate excellence. Let's hope that YouTube Red pulls off a great tribute to this beloved 80s flick.
